“Sure, but how?” we hear you ask.
Well, we’ve pulled together all the various travel options for you here:

By car

If you’re arriving by car, you have two options:

You can take the A12 Inntal motorway and leave at the Wiesing/Achensee exit. Then, take the B181 Achensee state road for seven kilometres until you reach Maurach am Achensee. In the village centre, turn left towards Pertisau and then at the entrance to Pertisau take the first turn-off on the left towards Karwendeltäler. After the Karwendel lift and the golf course, you’ll find the Karlwirt on the right-hand side.
If you’d prefer not to pay motorway tolls, the best way is to travel via the Achenpass or Bad Tölz and take the Holzkirchen motorway exit. You’ll reach Achenkirch straight after the German-Austrian border. From there, it’s another 10 kilometres to Maurach. After that, the route is the same as above.

By train

As environmental protection is one of our top priorities, we recommend reaching us using environmentally friendly methods, such as by train. You can either get off at Jenbach train station and then take the free public bus or a taxi to Pertisau, or head to Tegernsee train station and then continue to Lake Achensee via Kreuth on bus route 9550 or by taxi. Would you like to turn your journey into a unique experience? Then we recommend that you take the Achensee Cog Railway from Jenbach train station up to the Seespitz stop!

By plane

If you’re travelling by plane, we recommend the following airports:

Innsbruck (45 kilometres), Salzburg (150 kilometres), Munich (175 kilometres), or Memmingen (200 kilometres).
